The museum is dedicated to the display of artefacts from the Saruq Al-Hadid site, where excavation is still taking place.

The museum offers a range of activities and experiences, with something for every age and level of interest. While exploring the unresolved questions of the site, the galleries will simultaneously address the science and theories behind artefact discoveries and the chronology of the site.
Beautiful and dramatic object displays show off some of the many thousands of artefacts that have been found at Saruq Al-Hadid. These objects have changed our understanding of the history of Dubai.
Children have their own gallery trail which keeps them involved and encourages them to explore each room in turn. The trail makes life easier for parents with energetic youngsters.

FAQs
SaruqAl-Hadid Archaeology Museum is fully accessible for disabled visitors.
The museum is located in the Shindagha district, which contains a number of important historic buildings, museums, and cultural centres. It is also close to the Fahidi area and Dubai Museum, as well as the bustling Spice and Gold suqs of Deira and the Textile suq of Bur Dubai
Children are invited to take part in a trail through the museum, for which activity sheets are provided. Children will also especially enjoy the Laboratory, which features interactive tasks, as well as the Dig! area where they can excavate their own artefacts.
The site is off-limits to the general public, in order to preserve it for further research.
